Here are the locations we use during the cross country season for our workouts. During the autumn, winter and early spring, we workout at Max Bell at the University of Manitoba. Churchill Drive (Swings)
- As you head east on Jubilee, turn right on Cockburn, drive until you come up from under the St. Vital Bridge; the swings will be on your right in the Tot Lot; OR…
- As you head south on Osborne take the exit on your right toward Churchill Drive just past Jubilee. Turn left onto Churchill Drive, drive until you come up from under the St. Vital Bridge; the swings will be on your right in the Tot Lot,
Churchill Drive (West Pumphouse)
- As you head east on Jubilee, turn right on Cockburn, just past the Bridge Drive Inn; OR…
- As you head west on Jubilee, turn left on Cockburn, just before the Bridge Drive Inn.
We meed at the pink area just east of the West Pumphouse (Blue roof)
Westview Park (Garbage Hill, AKA The Dump)
In the autumn, we meet at the top of the hill (Green Pin) at the corner of Wellington and Empress. In the spring, we meet at the bottom of the hill by the southwest park entrance.
Kings Park (Second Parking Lot)
Drive as far as you can into Kings Park off of Kings Drive, south of the U of M. You will come to the second parking lot (Red Pin).
St.Vital Park (Duck Pond Picnic Structure)
Drive along the Main Road in the park until the second available left. You will find yourself in the Duck Pond parking lot (near the pink pin). Park there. We will be in the area. The City of Winnipeg has decreed that you need a mask to go in buildings the city owns…. please have one with you if you need to use the washroom, just in case.
Birds Hill Park (West Beach Parking Lot)
Take the North Drive upon entering the park. Drive until you can turn right into the West Beach Parking Lot (Purple Pin).
